What you’ll Do:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define the lending product strategy by deeply understanding credit markets, competition, and user requirements, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision.
- New Product Launch: Drive the end-to-end launch of new lending products by analyzing requirements, preparing ROI analyses, and establishing timelines in coordination with the Business/Commercial lead.
- Full-Stack Ownership: Provide total product ownership of the "what users touch" (Front-end/UX) as well as the back-end loan engine that powers the credit lifecycle.
- Core Loan and Credit Decisioning Engine System Development: Oversee and guide the building of the Core Loan and Credit Decisioning Engine System, ensuring scalability, compliance, and robust functionality for all credit products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Risk & Portfolio to co-own product policies and with Data & Model to ensure seamless integration of credit scores and automated decisioning.
- Performance Iteration: Test product performance and iterate quickly, leveraging insights from Business Analytics to drive ongoing service improvements.
- Operational Integration: Partner with Credit Operations to ensure back-office flows (KYC, disbursement, and repayment) are seamlessly integrated into the product experience.
What you’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in product management specifically within fintech or banking, driving vision for credit products, go-to-market strategies, and monetization through interest and fees.
- Exposure to managing the end-to-end project lifecycle of financial services, including core banking systems or loan management engines. Experience in building or significantly contributing to the development of a core loan system is required.
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders—from Risk and Data Scientists to Collections Managers—without direct authority.
- Strong commitment to data-driven decision-making, using Business BI and early-warning signals to prioritize the product backlog.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and flexible, with a willingness to contribute to the overall commitment of the P&L team goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex risk policies into simple user experiences.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English to minimize misinterpretation among cross-functional teams.
