Head of Engineering

What you’ll Do:

• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing, inclusive organization of 40-100+ engineers, including senior managers and staff software engineers.
• Be a bar-raiser for talent. Attract, hire, and retain top-tier engineering managers and senior individual contributors. Design the organizational structure to meet future business demands.
• Lead the end-to-end execution of complex, multi-quarter projects. Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and processes for regular assessment and improvement. Be accountable for the quality and timely delivery of your organization's commitments.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Empower your teams to experiment, take calculated risks, and solve problems that have no precedent.
• Drive the long-term technical strategy for your domain. Make high-stakes decisions on architecture, technology stacks, and engineering best practices to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and maintainable for the next decade.
• Collaborate with various teams across the company to shape product strategy and align business goals with technical roadmaps. Be a key voice in engineering-wide and company-wide strategic planning.

What you’ll Need:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience building and leading engineering teams in highly competitive startups or large multinational software companies.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience and being able to lead and motivate the project teams, give direction, receive feedback, and work within a larger cross-functional collaborative team and excellence in building high-performance teams.
• Experience in managing complex tech projects and know how to build products and features from scratch.
• Deep expertise in modern software development, as well as with managing engineering teams through periods of growth.
• Experience utilizing and implementing development methodologies (i.e. Agile).
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills as well as the ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information effectively in Thai and English.
