Backend Software Engineer (Java)

What you’ll Do:

• Develop and maintain LINE Pay core systems for payment, money transfer, merchant and so on
• Design and implement new features tailored to Thailand's Fintech business environment
• Design systems and optimize performance for handling large-scale traffic
• Drive continuous improvements in code quality and productivity

What you’ll Need:

• 3+ years of experience in Java (or Kotlin) development using JVM-based frameworks (Spring Boot, JPA)
• Strong knowledge and skills in relational database and SQL
• Experience in developing and operating high-traffic service systems
• Solid understanding of CS fundamentals (Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems)
• Growth mindset, willing to learn new things and teach others
• Strong interest in Fintech business
• Must be a South Korean citizen or hold the necessary legal authorization to work in South Korea (e.g., permanent residency or valid work visa)
• No restrictions on overseas travel or work

 
It'd be Great if you have:

• Experience in payment/financial domain and security knowledge
• Experience with the APIs and microservice architectures
• Experience in RESTful API design and implementation
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, HBase, Elasticsearch, etc.)
• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• English communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Strong problem-solving skills with proactive leadership
